Peanut is a fun-lovin', playful, and friendly boy! He's the kind of dog you just imagine running around with a kid and a ball, but he is also content to share a sofa with you for a movie and a snack! Peanut LOVES his PEOPLE and lets them know it with lots of kisses. One of his favorite things is to lie down with you, getting just as close to you as he can. Peanut has beautiful, soul-piercing eyes, that just beg, "Am I the boy for you?" As a young pup, Peanut was apparently denied the love, affection, and kind touches of a family. Found as a stray on the Gulf Coast of Florida, he was taken to a kill-shelter. Emaciated and terrified, he hid in the back of his crate, avoiding any human contact. Simply due to his fear-based shyness, and malnourished state, the shelter staff determined Peanut to be "unadoptable." Well, they were wrong. After extensive nutritional and social rehabilitation, Peanut has emerged a very healthy, smart, people-pleasing dog! His athleticism, devotion, and attentiveness would make him a fine candidate for agility training! Peanut is leash and crate-trained, and "nearly" housebroken (that should be taken care of easily with a regular schedule). He is a small to medium "perfect-for-kids" sized pup, weighing just 18 pounds and standing 15" tall. He is approximately 1 1/2 years old and fully vetted, including microchip. Peanut is a trusting and loving pup with a huge heart.
