I found a place to go where I could be protected from further harm and get help for my injuries. During my long recovery period, my foster family has been helpingme learn to trust again. With lots of doctor visits, massage therapy, special bone-strengthening meals Mom cooks just for me, and gentle, loving hands, I'm finally ready for my forever home. I want to snuggle under blankets, play with my toys, take walks, and spend lots of time napping in comfy laps! I'm leash and crate trained, and love to play with other dogs. Everyone I meet tells me that I'm beautiful and give the sweetest kisses. I hate to brag, but it's true! For such a tiny little girl, who had a really horrible start in life, I have a very big heart. Can you make room in yours for me? Latte is just one of the many victims of domestic violence in our society. As a tiny, 6 lb. pup, she suffered multiple fractures from the deliberate, violent actions of a family member. With emergency care, and her own strong spirit, Latte has recovered from her injuries, and emerged as a happy, loving little girl. The many medical professionals who treated her eventually found other injuries appearing to be the result of even earlier abuse. Latte is very, very lucky to have even survived her puppyhood!
